Why subscribe?

Join over 5,000 readers who subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and website. They never miss an update, promotion, or a photo with ‘views from my porch’ or pics of the doggos.

Free subscribers get the weekly emails.

Paid subscribers get the weekly emails - plus they get serialized stories from Graffridge Publishing.

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox.

Why should you become a paid subscriber? Access to the serialized stories is the main reason, but I also do this to support myself and my family. Even just tossing me a month here or there makes a difference. I have over five thousand subscribers, with a steady 2500-3k who open the newsletters and click on links each week. If just 100 of you did paid subscriptions, it would make a huge difference. Five bucks a month. Think about it.

Why I’m writing this Newsletter - and why now?

As authors, we’re told that the only way to stay connected with our readers is to have a newsletter - and that’s true. For a long time I hated newsletters. Hated writing them. Hated reading them.
Then I moved to Substack and found community. Writers and readers who connect with each other in Notes and Messages, sharing snippets from other ‘stacks and discovering new writers and readers along the way.

That’s one of the reasons I write - to connect with people. When I started seeing my newsletter as one more thread in the community, things changed. It’s important to build a community and share our words - and Substack allows me to do that more easily.

People

I retired from a career in Intel to write - those experiences are now being used to feed the muse. I write about all kinds of people because it is our variety as humans that makes us fascinating.
