Earlier this week, I promise you - there was not enough caffeine in the world to clear my sleep-deprived fog. See, last Sunday I got a free puppy. His mama was rescued during the hurricane and a day later, gave birth to seven puppies. My friend rescued them and has been caring for the pups - so that’s how I got one.
His name is Chess and no - he’s not a Rottweiler. He’s a mutt with Corgi, Jack Russell, Dachshund, hound, and whatever else is in there. No, he’s really not a Rottweiler. (Can you tell what kinds of questions I’ve had from posting his picture on social media?)
My grandfather had Rotties. This little guy’s whole body is the size of a Rottie’s paw, ffs.
Anyway - around Wednesday, he started to calm down at night, so I caught up on some of my sleep. My other two dogs, Ace and Bear, are not too sure about him yet. He’s so small, he makes them nervous.
Ace is warming up, though.
Other than the puppy, I’ve been working on recordings and writing. I’ll be honest - I’m really trying to get Queen done by the end of the year, but I don’t think I’m going to make it. See, once I’m done, it goes to my editor and then I get it back, take care of the edits, then publish. I will probably have it finished writing by the end of the month, but may need a few days to take care of the rest of it - and y’know, deal with the holiday and all that.
It’s getting there. Truly.
And yes, I’m going to ask again - have you grabbed your preorder yet? You can get it here, at my website - or here, everywhere else. Note - if you prefer Amazon, you’ll have to wait until it’s published because they don’t accept preorders from Draft2Digital, my publishing account for them.
Also, if you want to spend less than a cup of coffee to get me a gift this season, you could grab a month subscription to my Graffridge Publishing page where I serialize stories in text and audio. Check it out here:

I am a Dragon Prince of the House of Smoke… and I am dying.
Five hundred years is truly enough for a man like me. A monster. Yet a ten-thousand-year treaty will die with me, if I don’t spawn a dragonling to take my place. My two brothers are no use in this task. It falls to me, the eldest by a hair’s breadth, and yet, I cannot face the horror of another sealing. Another death. Another woman’s blood on my hands.
ARABELLA
I was saved from death in a dark Seattle alley by an impossibly beautiful man who swooped in on golden wings. Now he’s taken me to his lair, opened my eyes to a world of immortals I didn’t know existed, and given me an impossible task—find him a mate. Then, and only then, will he set me free.
He needs her more than he wants; she wants him more than she should; and the fate of both the mortal and immortal worlds depends on not just repairing their hearts, but finding a Love that’s True…
The FALLEN IMMORTALS series is a modern Beauty and the Beast story with flaming HOT dragon shifters, vengeful Dark Fae, and beguiling fallen angels.
U.S. Navy SEAL Ashe “Kid Chaos” Wilder doesn’t do sedate, so packing a novel and namby-pamby sunscreen for a Caribbean vacation doesn’t float his boat. Instead, he’s going to ride down the world’s most dangerous road on a mountain bike through the treacherous Andes in the wilds of Bolivia. His now ex-girlfriend thinks that he is much too crazy for her, and, sadly Ashe hasn’t found the right woman to understand or tolerate his daredevil proclivities until he runs smack dab into Paige Sinclair. She’s not only as audacious as he is, but their chemistry is off the charts.
NCIS agent Paige Sinclair is undercover in La Paz, Bolivia. She’s been tasked with investigating one of the co-owners, a former CIA operator, of a tour company for his possible involvement in arms theft that left two MPs dead. When she meets Ashe, and sparks fly, she loses her head and has a thing with him, not expecting it would go anywhere, her job took up all her time. Except when the investigation heats up, she’s thrilled to have a well-trained Navy SEAL covering her back. As they join in battle to find the weapons and stop the bad guys from selling them to terrorists, those sparks turn into a flame that could heat up the Andes.
Maxim is an army soldier on a secret mission. The details are need-to-know, and the rumors are weird, but Maxim knows his place is right at the front. He’s confident in his gun and his squad. He doesn’t need anything else.
Carn’ge is a Drakkon, an alien dragon in service to his Queen and her fated mate. They’ve come to investigate a demon infestation on this planet, nothing more. The task should be straightforward, until Maxim and his squad stumble into everything.
The human Maxim is Carn’ge’s fated mate, he can feel it in his soul. Suddenly the demons are the last thing Carn’ge cares about. All he can think of is claiming his mate and binding their souls together as one. Heartfire will burn anything, but if Maxim is his true mate, it will forge them both anew.
After confronting a demon, Maxim is willing to take alien dragons in stride, especially if the one called Carn’ge will touch him again. He feels deeply drawn to the Drakkon and doesn’t want to resist. Maxim had no idea first contact could be so explosive.
Awww! I seriously was looking at his picture going, 'are they SURE that's not a rottie? Because I'm pretty sure that's a rottie.' Hahaha! I get it, I get it - you're sure. I'm curious to see how your giant dogs deal with him long-term.
I have dogs and cats. Dogs want to please people, they try to learn and do what we ask. Cats want people to please them. We are staff. They hear what we ask, laugh, and wait for us to learn their commands.
