Writing and cute interruptions

Writing has gone well this week - in spite of Chess demanding pets on a regular basis. It’s hard to ignore him. He’s so bloody cute!
I’ve been focused on Probable Cause all week, as well as keeping up with my TikTok channel. Have you checked it out yet? I did a reel for Probable Cause that I thought was cute.
And, as usual, the bloody characters took the outline I had off-roading and the story took a twist that had me scratching my head. It’s a good twist, but it’s not one I expected until the characters pointed it out to me.
Here’s a preorder link for you if you haven’t done this yet.

A chance meeting in a crowded club.
Jeff DeLong, half-owner of an up and coming PR firm and former drummer one of the hottest rock bands in recent years, was fascinated with the green eyes he spied across the dancefloor. It was his first night out in over a year and he was just starting to crawl out from under the influence of his ex-fiancé. A night of passion with no strings attached was what he thought he needed.
Katriona Wilson, lover of the arts and heiress to the Wilson Department Store fortune, had secrets. The store she should have inherited was controlled by her step-mother and she was treated no better than a maid. Running Books and Beethoven, the arts foundation started by her father to expose underprivileged kids to art and music, took all her free time and all the money she could scrape up. She didn’t have time for love.
Would a one night stand turn into something more?
