Chapter Seven - Fate or Destiny
Rowan found Magnus in his study and knocked on the partially opened door. He waved for her to come in, then tapped on his keyboard a few more times before he leaned back and looked at her. “What’s up?”
“I wanted to ask you how much I can talk about what happened. I kinda had a meltdown on Sera and only told her I’d lost my sister recently. I didn’t want to say more without knowing how much of it needed to be kept secret.”
Magnus was impressed with her awareness of the potential hazards of speaking out and gave her a nod. “I’ll talk to Kate and see what we can come up with for you to tell people. I should’ve considered the emotional impact of this and handled it already. I’m sorry.”
Rowan shook her head. “I should’ve asked and I didn’t. I haven’t been thinking well, or planning anything – just reacting to situations I’m in. That’s not what Giggy taught me or how I should proceed.”
