Theme for now is to keep on going. I’ve been getting words down every single day - for the first time since early September. I’m still learning editing for the audio recordings, and making progress on that.
My mental health is improving, but healing through the trauma is going to take time. Having exciting new stories outlined has been helping a lot with that. I’ve also been spending time building my communities - both online and in person. I’m on BlueSky and have been building a following there. You can find me here.
Lately, I’ve had streaming TV shows going on one monitor while I write on the other. My latest two are Murder in the First and Continuum. Authors call it ‘refilling the well’ and it’s done by watching TV, movies, or reading books. It’s crucial to my creative well-being to enjoy other creative’s works - a lesson learned the hard way.
In other news, Chess is growing and keeping life interesting. He’s looking more like a Jack Russell as he grows and he’s loving his play time with Ace. Bear is still not so sure, but he’s joined in the playtime once or twice. Hey, Bear is going to be 12 next month - he’s a cranky old man.
