This week I took a dozen book to the local bookstore and they’re going to sell them on consignment - and order Chess Club to stock in their shop. It’s exciting to know my books are finally going to be for sale in my town’s bookstore, since they’re being pulled from my county library. The library was pulled from the regional system and my books were moved to the other two libraries in the system before it all shut down so they’ll still be read.
Why were they pulled? They have LGBTQ+ characters in them.
I’m not going to let this slow me down - I’m going to keep moving forward. That’s why I went to the bookstore and spoke to two of the team that own it. They’re also interested in doing a book signing this fall - which is very exciting!
In book news, I’m still working on Storm’s Witness. The high heat has made it a little difficult - I was ill for a few days, but I’m still plugging away. The admin work has been taking top priority still and I’m looking forward to getting the bulk of that done so I can let my hyperfocus settle on the writing once more.
If you’re with Kobo, there’s a huge box set promo going on now until July 14th. All of my box set collections are in the promo. You can see what’s available here:

My whole life, I dedicated myself to discovering the secrets of the ocean. When I encounter a merman, I think I might be losing my mind. Except he’s real, and he's asking me out, spilling all his secrets, sating my curiosity, and stirring my lust. My own private nerdy professor turned merman; he ticks all my boxes.
What do I do when my merman is in danger of being discovered by my colleagues? Do I turn my back on them and help him? Do I sink or swim? Do I fall in love?
Carefully curated promos, just for you!
Grr about the library policy. That really makes me mad. My books are mostly about witches and NC libraries won't carry them either, even though it's "soft" witchcraft, not black magic. Happy you found a new home and wishing you good times ahead!
What the what. I hate it when. Library closes. But yay they moved the books.
