I was gifted a hanging pot of flowers for my porch by a neighbor. I had to ask a friend what kind of flowers they were because I thought they were mini petunias. No, they’re called Calibrachoa or Million Bells. They have a scent like petunias, and they look beautiful on my porch.
Things have been going really well with the new admin stuff I’ve been learning and processing. I’m almost finished with one project and about to start the next. I’m also still writing Storm’s Witness - and yes, I’m still aiming for end of June/early July release. Unfortunately, I’ve needed to shore up the foundations of my business and that includes some of this admin stuff. I can’t afford to keep writing if I don’t have money coming in - and if I don’t have some of these things settled, I won’t be getting much of anything for income.
Which is why I’ve been putting so much focus and effort into getting this stuff set up and going, and not as much into the actual writing. Once it’s set up, I don’t have to fuss with it too much - and I can focus on the fun stuff - like Kegan and Ellie’s story.
Speaking of fun stuff - I managed to get a picture of all three boys sleeping on my bed the other night. I’m lucky it’s a queen-sized or I’d have zero room.
I do have a surprise for you all. Use the button below and get your free copy of Tabor’s Trials - it’s a novella in the Partners in Crime world that was in an anthology back in 2022. (Booktober 2022). It’s going to ask you to sign up for my newsletter - but don’t worry, you won’t be getting two newsletters (unless you use a different email address).
Oh, check this out! My author friend, Sofia Aves, has a new pen name she’s writing under. Preorder her new book below!
He's handsome, funny, and a real Romantic. Unfortunately, he’s dead.
When intrepid student journalist Emma Reeves goes undercover to investigate the DEAD POETS SORORITY, she expects to find a group of bored college girls with Ouija boards. What she doesn't expect is to conjure her very own 19th century dead poet.
Tasked with infiltrating a sorority obsessed with long-dead poets like Byron and Shelley, Emma stumbles upon a bizarre scene: a house filled with crystals, pentagrams, and girls devoted to bringing their literary idols back from the dead. Emma manages to suppress her eye rolls until one night, fuelled by curiosity and a couple of beers, she accidentally summons the spirit of never-quite-famous poet, Nathaniel Harker.
Now, Emma's got a brooding, enigmatic, love-struck 19th-century poet following her around. Torn between the allure of a (timeless) romance and writing the article of a lifetime, she finds herself at a crossroads.
As Emma grapples with her story and her heart, she'll have to decide if she can truly keep her poet a secret or if exposing the sorority will mean losing him forever…
