Progress! All that’s left now is to stain the porch, but that’s going to wait until later this summer. It’s so nice to sit out there and work.
I found a great deal on a used patio dining set and a little sanding and paint will make it look like new. Got the chairs stacked up on the porch, and the table is getting dropped off later. (It didn’t fit in my SUV.)
The fencing is still being worked on, and the extenders for the awning are ordered, so it sags a bit now - but it still helps with shade and rain protection, so it’s up as is. Paint cans are still out because there’s touchup work that needs to be done, and once everything is finished, you’ll get the re-arranged furniture/all fixed version. (Note: the floral arrangement next to the door? My Mom and I made that while she was here!)

Audio edits on ROOK are almost done. Max Jackson is doing an amazing job as narrator, and I think you’re going to love this one. No preorder date on this yet, but soon!
Knight is progressing and I hope to hit the July 7 release date for it - but it may get pushed out another month. We’ll see. I’ve had a couple of health issues that slowed me down, but I’m feeling better.
Would you like a teaser for Saoirse? This novel releases December 26, but it’s already up for preorder here, and on my shop here.
Chapter 1 - SAOIRSE (pronounced sair-sha)
The sound a body makes when it hits the ground from ten stories up is distinctive. Saoirse closed her eyes and let out a huff of breath, then went over to look down at the body sprawled in a spreading pool of blood on the parking lot below.
“Well, that was unnecessary,” she muttered as she turned away from the rooftop ledge and headed for the stairs.
“What was unnecessary?” Orion’s voice said in her ear. The high-tech earpiece made it sound like he stood beside her.
“The target jumped off of the roof on the north side. Bloody and not moving,” Sair replied. She knew better than to assume he was dead. Shifters could often heal from a fall like that. “Better go pick him up and make sure the cuffs are on hands and feet.”
“Not my job. I’ll send Lyri,” Orion replied.
“It’s all of our jobs, Orion. You can’t just sit your ass in the unit all the time. Don’t make me write you up,” Sair replied as she jogged down two flights, then took the glide the rest of the way down.
“You tell him,” Ant replied as he met her in the lobby. He gave Sair a smile as she ran a hand through her short reddish-blonde hair. “He’s got you annoyed again, huh?” he mouthed to her so only she could ‘hear’ him.
Her dark green eyes flashed with her mood. “Yep.” Ant had the dark hair and swarthy skin of his Mediterranean ancestors, and the patient empathy common in most witches. He knew how to diffuse a situation with humor and Saoirse appreciated that.
“I’ve got him cuffed,” Lyrika spoke into their ears. “Bring the van around so we can get him out of here. Got a couple of lookie-loos getting interested.”
“We’ll head out the back way and meet the van there. Think you can manage to drive, Orion? Or is that not in your job description, either?” Sair said. She let him know she pissed. This was supposed to be an easy bag and tag pickup, and now they’d have to fill out reports for hours.
