Midsummer madness!
How many of you grabbed a stack of free books from the ZoeBub book blast? I got myself a few new reads that I’ll dive into after King is done. Zach is trying to settle down but life isn’t quite letting him do that…yet. Pieces are falling into place, and some pieces are just…dying off.
Don’t worry - as with all of my stories, the good guys will win, the bad guys will get their due justice - one way or another - and there will be a Happily Ever After, or at least a Happy For Now ending.
As the author, it can be a challenge juggling such a large cast of characters and keeping the focus where it needs to be. I’m currently at the ‘re-read the whole thing and make notes so I don’t miss any of the threads’ stage of the manuscript, so progress is being made.
I do apologize for how long this is taking. I had hopes of having it done last month, but life has a way of upending plans. I also realize I’ve been saying this every freakin’ week for the past month - but every week I’m like “YES, I will finish this book now!” and then life tosses another grenade. I appreciate you sticking with me and being patient.
Here’s a pic from a recent evening on my porch. This has become one of my favorite places to write - when it’s not too hot, or when the evening has settled and it’s cooler.
Right after King is done, I’ll be diving into Queen, so there won’t be as long a wait between books as there was with Bishop to King.
After Queen, I’m hoping to get to Court in Session with Mariah Thayer. Court is book two in the Ghost Talker series - Breaking News was book one and came out last year.

I took the free book day as a personal challenge. I probably won’t need to buy a book for a year or two. To be clear I will, but I don’t need to.
