Yesterday was my five year ‘authorversary’ - or anniversary of when I published my first book. That first book was Remembrance - book one in the Descendants series. Since then, over 100,000 copies of Remembrance have been downloaded.
Back then, I had no idea how wild a ride this published author gig would be. I had no idea that we were just a few months from a global pandemic that would completely change everything and everyone.
I had no idea how magical, or how difficult, it would be in this new career. I love writing and I have unlimited ideas and concepts for stories, but the reality of butt in chair and fingers on keyboard is a lot harder on my disabled body than I’d expected. I’m still getting it done, but I’ve had to make several adjustments.
In honor of the five year date - I’m offering a free download of Remembrance for those of you who have not yet been introduced to Emlen. If you’re already a subscriber to this newsletter, don’t worry. You will have to put your email address in - but Substack doesn’t upload duplicates, so you won’t be getting two newsletters.
I was three when I watched my mother die.
Now I'm back in Muckle Cove digging into her murder.
They say coming home is never easy, but what I'm finding goes so much deeper than anyone could have imagined.
Ancient magic, modern politics, and my mother's ghost all point to some truth in the past that could change my present forever.
If it doesn't kill me first...
*The Descendants series contains ghosts, magical bloodlines, political intrigue, second-chance romance, and found family.
