Recuperation and rest
I remind people that ‘rest’ is a verb, so I made sure to remind myself of that this week. Yes, it was a great visit with my cousin, but I did need to recuperate afterwards. Such is the life of a chronic pain patient, I guess.
I made chicken soup in the crock pot as we’ve had a couple of cooler days and it was restorative. It also made the house smell wonderful.
I’ve been listening to Jax the Bard for a while now, but this new release is wonderful. Her voice is so rich and smooth, it’s a pleasure to listen to.
A taste of one of the side stories (not Gone on Arrival - that’s still being worked on too!) Tentative title is “The Escort”.

No, they’re not the same in how the trauma evolves, but they’re the same in the fact they change the person experiencing it.
