Learn things...
Like Dwayne Pride, the lead character in NCIS: New Orleans would say, "All right, go ahead. Learn things.”
That’s exactly what I’ve been doing. I’ve spent a lot of my time this past week, learning how to do new things. Figuring out new processes, new tech, and new patterns for the author business.
It’s exhausting. It’s also exhilarating when I figure out how to do something that had me stumped.
Speaking of learning new things, Chess learns things so quickly! He still has accidents now and again, but is 99% housebroken. He knows sit, come, stay, down, and ‘gimme belly’ which has him flopped on his back, feet in the air, so I’ll rub his belly.
I’ve been doing a lot of work in my porch ‘office’, but when the wind picks up and sprays the rain around, I retreat to my inside the house office. Sitting out on the porch feels like I’m in a tree house!
Yes, I’m still writing Storm’s Witness - I’m aiming for a June/July release date. Aiming. This background work is taking a lot longer than I’d anticipated. If you want to be on the list to get the book when it’s released, just preorder here.
