The weather had a few days of warm this week and it was wonderful to get some sun and porch time with the dogs. Chess is about halfway housebroken, but he’s still a sassy little bugger. He’d been outside playing then ran into the house and started to poop. I yelled ‘no’ and pointed my finger at him. He stopped, backed up, sat down, waved his paw at me and barked.
:sighs: I think he’s learning the wrong part of that particular lesson. (Yes, I laughed. It was really adorable - and frustrating, all in one.)
He also considers Ace his personal jungle gym. Evidence above.
Queen should be live everywhere as of yesterday - you can get it at your favorite shop - but you’ve been able to get it at tkeldridge.com for a week now.
I’ve got some good news for y’all. I’ve been writing the wrap up story for The Winthrop Literary (& Magic) Society. The series started with Becoming Bader, then had Trials & Treaties - both published in 2021. The final story, Fiends & Familiars will be published with the other two in a final collection edition. Re-reading these stories before I started writing reminded me just how much I loved the world of Bader.
Twenty years after the pandemic woke magic in some - and drove others to violence - Bader Winthrop is called to help fight a dark magic that has ties to her family.
Bader, her partner Magnus, and the rest of the eclectic group she's gathered are once again facing something they never expected. Fiends are in Bishop's Bay and they're coming after all of the magic users.
People so desperate to grow their magic, or get any magic at all, are willing to do anything to achieve their goals. One cult of fiends has taken it all to another level - and they're led by a man with ties to Bader's own family bloodline - Kanozas Bishop.
When the Society calls on them to help fight, Bader and her friends can't say no. Just when she thought she was done, it becomes even more personal. This time, Bader is going to make sure she doesn't have to keep looking over her shoulder - even if it means sacrificing more than she'd ever imagined.
Here’s another free book from the Round Robin authors. Check out Rianne’s book below.
The vampires have taken over the world and every human needs to find a way to survive. Though her roommates disagree, Deanna has decided to become a blood donor.
It seems simple enough until a vampire comes searching for the source of that tasty blood. With just one encounter, Eamon gives her a taste of the kind of pleasure vampires can offer.
Just as Deanna starts considering a new life, she meets the vampire prince, Alatares. Will the 'devil of Blechard city' put an end to their fantasies?
I’ve adjusted my audio recording schedule and I have been uploading new files to the Graffridge Publishing ‘stack. Click here to subscribe over there and get text/audio chapters read by me for you to enjoy!
If you could, please share this pre-launch link for my Kickstarter. It would really mean a lot - and selecting ‘notify me’ doesn’t lock you in to anything or cost you anything. I really appreciate it!
Glad things are going well!
Hi Tess—I finished Queen last night and I loved it! SO worth the wait. Hope you’re doing well. I love the picture of Chess climbing on Ace. Don’t be discouraged by his house training. Yesterday was the first time I left my dog, Homer, out in the house for more than 30 minutes (actually 3 hours-I had to go for a mammogram), without having to clean up a mess. He’s 11 years old. 😂 I’m sure Chess will catch on much sooner. 😉
