This week started out cold, wet, and rainy and ended up a little warmer, but still wet and rainy - with a few sunny days in between. Had the lawn mowed for the first time this year, and am happy to see my peonies and lilacs that are full of buds and looking healthy.
I’m thrilled to see a few of you have found the merchandise section of the website and are picking up mugs, hoodies, and stickers. I’m hoping to get a bunch of book cover magnets up on the shop, but have been back and forth with the company to make sure they’re set up properly.
If you’re still interested in the serialized stories - you can now find them on Ream, or here on Substack on my other page, Graffridge Publishing. It’s $5 a month in either spot to get access to the stories, and as this is a portion of my income, it’s a huge help.
Being a published author doesn’t make a person a lot of money. Every author I know has been struggling with a loss of income over the past two years, and with the changes in the big shops like Apple and Amazon, getting your stories in front of readers is harder than ever before.
How can you help? Subscribe, share, tell your friends and point them at the website or here at the newsletter on Substack. Thank you.
Thank you for writing! Reading your books is my guilty pleasure. I’ve been trying to get so much work done this week. After hours at the computer, thought I was ready for printing spreadsheets. Two pages in, oops, I’m out of paper, and the extra ream I thought I had is gone. I forgot I gave it to my daughter. The store is closed, so I read all night. MUCH BETTER CHOICE! The next day, got my paper eventually, started printing, had piles and files spread out, got my handy stapler, and ran out of staples. After the store was closed. So of course I read all night. Next day, I finally got staples, began the bulk of my printing. Three pages in, ran out of ink. Guess what I’m doing now? Yes! Reading! It’s so much better than working! This week I’ve read the SIN series, and am hoping for more, and am currently on the last book of the Hughes series. Thank you for so many wonderful hours of interesting stories. Of course I don’t like every choice made, but isn’t that life? I still can’t wait to read the next chapter, the next book, the next series. You’ve made me consider sabotaging my own home office so I can read more. But I promise, tomorrow I shall work. I just have to force myself to save your books as a reward for AFTER I complete the work. In case you missed it, I appreciate everything you put into creating! Thank you for sharing your brain, your talent, your gift.
