Memories are strange, aren’t they? With Mom here, there’s been a lot of reminiscing and we’ve found that some things we don’t remember the same way. (Okay, a LOT of things we don’t remember the same way.)
Perspective and the distance of time have an impact on our memories, and what one saw one way - another saw it completely different. I find that fascinating, and it’s also a good thing to put into stories. Just because the event is written into the story as having happened with steps A, B, and C, the characters will each have their own take on the events. Confusion abounds and chaos makes for good intrigue.
I’ve finished And So It Begins and Luck of the Irish - the two novellas going into the Hunter and Vampire anthologies. Next up is a short for a Christmas anthology, then back to work on Knight.
You can preorder the anthologies Monster Hunter and Rejected by the Immortal by clicking on the links. I think you’ll find them both to be full of some great stories. For mine, the tropes are Enemies to Lovers, Second Chance romance, mingled with revenge and badass women.
Oh, almost forgot. In other news - Amazon has raised their print book costs, so the prices for my print books on Amazon had to go up or I would be getting negative royalties for each sale.
This is where I remind you that if you buy the books from my website, tkeldridge.com, you will find the paperbacks and hardcovers at a significant discount to prices anywhere else. While a paperback on Amazon is now $12.99, you can find the same book on tkeldridge.com for $6.99 - and I get more of the royalties from my own shop than I do on the other sites - so please shop accordingly. Thank you.
