Blossoms and book deadlines

Oy, the deadlines are creeping up! But you know what that means, right? MORE BOOKS coming your way. Yessiree, you’re going to need to set aside some late nights by the end of the year to keep up with everything.

Gambit is finished and with the editor. This is a VERY short prequel to the Chess Club Mysteries and will be in Booktober 2023.

The weather here has been chilly and wet, then chilly and clear, but it’s warmed up a little this weekend. The dogs have found it much more to their liking to soak up the sunbeams from inside the house instead of outside. The day bed in my office is a favorite locale.

Next up on the deadline list are the two novellas for the Monster Hunters and Vampire Rejects anthologies - Jolene and Saoirse’s intro stories. (Their novels will be out in December of this year.) The anthologies are up for preorder, so make sure you grab those.

Working on getting the house projects done enough so things are a little more in order before Mom comes to visit. Can you tell I’m excited about this? I pick her up at the airport on May 20th and it’ll be the first time I’ve seen her in person in four years. I can’t wait! Yes, that’s right - my mother hasn’t seen me in person since I started publishing. Her last visit was May of 2019 - then the pandemic hit and other things kept us from being able to make things happen. This is going to be soul-deep good for us both.
