A quiet celebration with my son was how we celebrated our Friendsgiving. We had some cold and wet weather, and I’m grateful as it helped knock down some of the wildfires we’ve had burning the past few weeks here in the mountains.
None of them were very close, but counties are small in NC - there are 100 counties in the state. Henderson County is one county away from where I live. The smoke was noticeable for a couple of weeks with bad air quality and haze. Anyway - the rain is helping and I’m hoping the firefighters get a break now.
When I wasn’t writing this week, I was prepping and baking. Leftovers are my reward for not having to cook all weekend so I can just write. For me, leftover stuffing and turkey with gravy is the best. What’s your favorite kind of leftovers? (And no, it doesn’t have to be holiday feast leftovers.)
I’ve also finished writing Jolene and the e-Book is ready to go for December 1st delivery if you’ve ordered it from my shop. Other places will be a few days later as they take a lot longer to upload and process. The physical copies will be uploaded sometime next week. If you’ve not preordered it yet, you can get it here:
Saoirse is slated for December 22, but I may have to push that to after Christmas. I’m hoping I don’t, but we’ll see. Damp and cold weather may be good for firefighters, but it plays havoc with my damaged body. If you want to grab Saoirse, you can get it here:
Also, one more day left - the Romance Book Blast ends tomorrow, Nov 27th. over 250 books priced at 99c. There are also a few more promos down below that you should check out. Deals galore!

My favorite leftover food is lasagna.
Glad you had a peaceful Thanksgiving. Leftovers are the best!
