Yep, we’re in the BRRR months now. Past few days have been under 20F (-7C) when I get up in the morning. You know it’s cold when the dogs don’t want to stay outside and soak up the sunbeams on the porch.
Ace has been enjoying his cold weather jammies. He’s seven years old or so, and he stiffens up in the cold weather. These are light enough to not overheat him, but warm enough to keep him comfy. Bear is furry enough, he doesn’t need them unless it’s below zero.
Actual -visible- progress is being made around the house. Still haven’t got the awning fixed or the porch stained - but did get the shutters painted and rehung, and got some of the door painted. Still waiting for the trim paint and it needs to warm up a bit before I can fill the staple holes and do the final coat on the white - and do the bare wood in black. It’s finally starting to feel like my place.
In book news, I’m deep into writing Jolene, then will dive into Saoirse and get them both out to you in December. Yes, it’s a tight timeline and I’m spending a lot of time doing nothing but writing. Make sure to get your preorders done early!
Don’t forget to grab Everyday Heroes, Rejected by the Immortal, and Monster Hunter, too. Jolene’s story starts in the short in Rejected and Saoirse’s starts in the short in Monster Hunter.
I also want to check in and see who’s been reading the Chess Club books? Rook, Knight, and Bishop are out for you to grab now - and King and Queen will be out next year.
It’s the first of the month - time for some Round Robin shares - check out the books below, and the promos below that. See you in a week!
They took us in as broken kids, spared no expenses to put us back together.
When they thought we were ready they sent us out to the world to live our lives.
We were set loose but not free.
Each of us owes them one Favor.
And now they’ve come to collect.

Finding my soulmate might cost me my soul.
The moment I met Deva Rainsong, she took something precious from me. Now she needs more, and the crazy thing is, I just might give it to her.
I can’t deny the attraction sizzling between us, nor how badly I miss the touch of her new mate, Rohan. Ursa males mate in pairs, so what if he’s a dragon? I always believed when it happened, we’d do it together. But now she’s chosen him, not me, and the rogue alpha in me isn’t happy. I still want them both, but claiming them might mean giving up a piece of my very soul.
With Fate hot on our heels, intent on destroying the bloodline connected to Deva, time is of the essence. Taking a piece of my soul will only make her more powerful, and will bind me to her for as long as we live.
Which won’t be long if she can’t let herself have me—and the three other members of Fate’s Fools waiting in the wings.
